Find-ABILITY? Yep. Take Charge of Your Searches.

You’ve just been tasked with drafting that impending motion and you need some sample documents from that senior partner (maybe), the winning brief that another used to win her case, but you can’t find it. You can’t find it because you don’t know who authored it, where its filed, when it was written, or….you can take a deep breath and realize you CAN FIND IT! Take charge of your searches! Note the “find” and “ability” parts of the word. You do have the ability to find your “stuff”.

Naming conventions…good idea? You bet.

Recently, I’ve come across the issue of naming conventions, when saving documents, sending emails, and searching. I keep hearing, we can’t find things, the searching doesn’t work, why can’t I find my emails, and I forget where I saved it! Sound familiar?
