Upgrade Planning with a Workflow Analysis

Yup. ANOTHER upgrade. It’s inevitable really and my experience tells me, its never too early to start planning! So, when planning one (one that affects everyone) what are some of the first steps you can to take to begin a DESKTOP upgrade? The goal: make the technology work for the users, rather than the users working for the technology.

New World of Technology (Is your head in the Clouds?)

We, in legal (and all industries), find ourselves in a complete new world of technology. Never more than now has it been ubiquitiously integrated into our lives where we are constantly trying to keep up with collaboration, mobility and productivity on a 24/7 basis. As long as you are connected (internet connection), you are truly mobile. The office is whereever you are – literally. So, is your head in the clouds?

Windows 7 Office 2007….Or? Office 2010?

So, your Firm has decided to upgrade…again…or has already upgraded…..again. The cycle of upgrades is never ending. Just when you think you’ve got the system down pat, it changes. Fortunately or not, depending your viewpoint, change is a way of life. I recently attended an in house training session on Change Management where the speaker referred to stages of change with the stages of grief. I got a good giggle, because it’s soooo true!
